Support the Construction industry proposal for an improved Construction General Permit for stormwater in California.
At the September Adoption Hearing, join the Construction Industry in voicing our opposition to the State’s proposed Construction General Permit for stormwater and support the Construction Industry’s alternative proposal.
The State Water Board is proposing an unworkable permit, which will negatively affect the Construction Industry for years to come and won’t do anything to improve water quality or increase water conservation.

Since our last update in May 2022, drought response has been a major focus of state and local water agencies, such as the Department of Water Resources and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Newsom Administration in Sacramento.
Recently, while visiting southern California, Governor Newsom called on all Californians, especially water agencies, to step up mandatory water conservation measures.
And just prior to the Governor’s announcement, MWD of Southern California enacted mandatory water cutbacks in portions of its service area which are heavily dependent upon state water project water supplies.
