2.) Metropolitan General Manager Issues Statement on Governor Newsom’s Expanded Statewide Drought Declaration

Metropolitan Water District will consider whether to call upon member agencies to implement mandatory conservation in their communities.

3.) Water Quality Credit Trading Program for Orange County

Orange County Public Works is wrapping up a multi-year study of program feasibility—CICWQ is collaborating with OC Public Works on private sector involvement and program development opportunities and helping write the final report.


4.) CICWQ Meets with Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board Executive Officer

Mike Lewis, Senior Vice President, and Dr. Mark Grey, Principal Technical Director for CICWQ met with Jayne Joy, Executive Officer, and William Ruh, Board Member (since 2001) in October. We had the opportunity to introduce Ms. Joy (selected as new EO August 2021) to CICWQ, its purpose and mission, and how our organization has interacted with the Regional Board as a key industry stakeholder. CICWQ highlighted our commitment to a collaborative approach to solving water quality compliance issues and challenges while emphasizing our role as an educational and technical resource.
